How we work
The Julia Rausing Trust is a closed but pro-active funder.
Under direction from the Trustees, the grants team research areas of interest and identify potential charities with whom we might work. We contact such charities directly to see if there are suitable funding opportunities. This may involve a combination of email, online meetings, and site visits, and where appropriate, may result in an invitation to submit a grant application.
All applications are considered by Trustees through grant committees and at Board meetings, with all funding decisions made by Trustees. If a grant is awarded, we typically expect an annual report and carry out a site visit at least once a year.
The Julia Rausing Trust does not accept unsolicited requests or applications for funding, except where specified within occasional grant programmes that may be announced from time to time. Outside of such opportunities, no unsolicited approaches will be considered.
