£2,000,000 towards Women & Girls match funding campaign.
The Big Give is a charity that brings together larger donors, like philanthropists, foundation and businesses, with the giving public and the charities who need them. They match what the public and large funders donate and so double the difference that everyone, including the charities, can make.
The grant will increase funding for the women and girls sector, which has traditionally been an underfunded area. Research shows that of UK grants awarded to charities from Trusts and Foundation in 2021, the women and girls sector received just 1.8% of these (Rosa Fund, 2023). This is in the face of increased demand for services in the sector without the resource to cope.
