Charity Survival Fund: £18 million distributed to 329 charities in just over six weeks to address funding shortfalls.

The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust have distributed £18 million to the 329 charities who were successful applicants to the Charity Survival Fund in September. The fund was established in July to help small and medium sized charities address funding shortfalls which have occurred as a result of coronavirus.

The fund has helped businesses across the UK in the three main areas the Trust supports: Welfare and Education, Health and Wellbeing and Arts and Culture. The fast deployment of the Fund was made more important as a result of the ongoing second wave of coronavirus and the reliance many people across the UK have on the charities which have been supported.

A full list of the charities supported through the Charity Survival Fund can be found here.

The location of charities supported is shown on a map on the Charity Survival Fund page.

Simon Fourmy, Head of Grants at the Julia and Hans Rausing Trust commented: “We know how vital it has been for charities to get the funds deployed as soon as possible, to make a difference on the ground and so they can keep providing their services to the local community.

“We would like to thank all the charities for their assistance in enabling us to release the funds so quickly, and hope that the Charity Survival Fund will make a real difference to the important work the charities are doing up and down the UK.”
