Julia and Hans Rausing donate £250,000 to The Big Give Christmas Challenge

Julia and Hans Rausing are pleased to be supporting The Big Give Christmas Challenge this year, giving £250,000 to 35 UK charities as part of the annual match funding campaign.

The Big Give (https://donate.thebiggive.org.uk/christmas-challenge-2020) is the UK’s largest match funding platform, bringing individuals, charities, and philanthropists together in order to raise money for organisations doing vital work across the UK.

This is the 12th year of the Christmas Challenge, which last year raised a record £15.6 million for 587 charities. Launching today, money donated to the 750+ charities taking part will be doubled for the next seven days.

Charities which Julia and Hans are donating towards includes The Children’s Trust, The British Youth Music Theatre and The Connection at St Martin’s – helping homeless people throughout London this Christmas.

Julia and Hans Rausing commented: “2020 has been a difficult year across the UK, and in particular for charities large and small. The Big Give Christmas Challenge enables all donations to be doubled over the next seven days and we are pleased to support this great cause.”
